The Guardians represent the vanguard of the Riftforge Operations Command.
Naturally, some of their most powerful skills focus on protection and defense. However, it will be foolish to underestimate the Guardian's damage-dealing abilities.
A Guardian's principal role is to pin down the main column of the enemy. In addition, they're tasked with saving lightly armored units from being overrun by enemy forces.
- Slows down a single enemy unit
- Increases the chance to block incoming attacks
- Automatically attacks after an enemy attack
- Damages and causes bleeding to multiple enemies
- Pulls a single mounted enemy closer
The main role of the Chargers (mounted Guardians) is to serve as shock troops thanks to their increased speed and powerful attacks.
- Reduces the damage potential of a single enemy
- Redirects incoming damage to shields
- Reveals hidden units in the vicinity
- Increases speed and damage
- Area damage to infantry units
Finally, the Guardian commander excels at controlling the enemy's movement, while boosting the defenses of his own troops.
- Dazes and damages a single enemy from a distance
- Stuns and causes bleeding to a single enemy
- Changes places with a friendly
- Reduces incoming damage to all friendlies
- Removes all poison effects from a single friendly
- Converts tactical advantage into shields

game
its good
is this even a game??
wtf is there a play button or do u all talk about a noneexistent game?
This is a game
Unfortunately you didn't take the time to read that it is in beta, that you need the beta key to activate your account, thus providing access to the game. Please try to pay closer attention before bursting out in anger. Life's hard as a pro.
Quick Question
Can anyone actually verify they ever HAVE received a key to the playtest? I'm seeing a lot of people asking when, others saying be patient, but nobody actually saying "I'm involved in the playtests already, it is genuine".
The whole thing just seems a bit vague, currently.
Continential?
From what I understand, the only working game server is currently situated in the EU (Europe) therefore only people within the EU would be distributed the beta keys. I'm Canadian, so that's my only theory on the matter. If you ARE from the EU I can't really help you there. Do keep in mind that RiftForge's staff are probably being VERY selective about who's provided with beta codes: as all of the mature members can see the response forums are crowded with youngsters who'd give horrible feedback on how to improve the game. I'm just hoping people who joined the site prior to the game launch (myself, namely) get extra goodies and features when the game is released finally.
IM YOUNG BUT SMART
i love this idea of this games and dont say young people always put bad reviews of games many just say good reviews
Generalization
I didn't mean to offend anyone by my previous statement, but I've learned that mostly poor feedback is provided by children who are 12 or under.
Have you seen people's suggestions for CoH: Eastern Front? There are kiddies there who'd have a giant unstoppable tank in the game so that the game balancing gets thrown out the window.
Eu (Europe only)
Well if its only in Europe I would like to know that also I played the Alpha Test for Stronghold Kingdoms and that game is played quite often I hope I can get into the Beta and I hope that there will be sub classes for the characters Like for Guardians you can become palidens or Knights and with Raiders they can become Vikings or even Berserkers. And with Rangers they could become upgraded like longbow men or even sniper classes or something just ideals can't wait to enter full game or even the beta. let me know
(By the way if anything is spelled wrong sorry I've always been bad about that)
Vikings
@Duke
You'll be surprised to see some of our new Guardian units, or maybe not. They are based on Teutonic knights and Rus slayers.
Looking good.
